I use .063 on all my 3/8(aside from LP, ofc). This was just a freak accident involving somepoor judgement...I should have checked tension after the first few cuts in 30" stuff.

She's the best! She brings us hot cocoa made from scratch during the job, and leaves a thermos for us. After work, she always has a warm meal ready on the porch to see us off. Yesterday was chili :)
Good deal my friend:)

Well, I got a free meatball sandwich and some fresh Cider for lunch today ... in exchange for splitting some wood ... but I wasn't getting paid, but I do hunt there (and took my last two or three deer from there).

All I heard was you got meatballs 'n cider(see what I did there?) Lol...

Good deal my friend:)

Did my first crazy removal Sunday morning. No pics because I hate heights and was up in the tree lol. No climbing gear yet...sigh. Spent much of the day on an extension ladder, constantly moving it and hoisting the 200t(thanks @Lone Wolf !) up and down by rope.

It was a decent sized ash which split into two stems/trunks. Fellow built a garage directly beneath one of the trunks, and apparently wasn't aware that trees die eventually lol. A lot of climbing, and a bit of rope work and it was on the ground in chunks.

I learned two things that day. One, I need to pick up that climbing gear and learn to use it well. Two, I still hate heights...but the money sure is nice.

Ladders....Get your will in order, or put in an order for a wheelchair.

There is no tree on this earth that I would not climb to the very top to clip off the very highest tip. After spending years erecting and changing bulbs on these things a tree is a cake walk,
