I have a MOFO 026, a MOFO 360, a MMWS 261, MMWS 362, 10 mm 044, MS 440 (both with timing advance and base gasket delete), and a CFB Hybrid, and non of them are going anywhere!

Yes, Dr Al does a great job on both 026/260 + 036/360, but the 460 he built for me really screams!

Don't over look a good running MS 440, you may be surprised how well some of them run. My fastest 70 cc is a 10 mm 044, but my MS 440 will keep up with a lot of 10 mm 044s.

I have a MS440 with
Meteor cylinder and piston, it runs good but I need to cut some wood to make sure everything works okay.

Good to know. Not looking for a racer, just a good saw.

Why would you want a 10mm crank in it?
If he allready has a 440 with aftermarket top end why build another,id build 044 10mm with that topend.then make 440 he has with meteor piston and top end a hybrid.then hed have best of both worlds. My mailbox is still empty lol fyi.no sodium elements have came yet bro.

I think the 10 mm saws were a bit lighter than the 12 mm saws, and most of them held up very well.

Since there were slant fin 12 mm 044s, I doubt there were any straight fin 10 mm, but I could be wrong.

I have had no problem with my 10 mm bottom, and I do believe they are lighter.
