Not unless it's carbureted with no cat...I'm curious though, what is this stale mix you speak of? Every time I mix a fresh 2 gallon batch, I take my ported saws out and magically there's no fuel leftover shortly thereafter...

To be honest, between the saws, weedeater and leaf blower I don’t have gas go stale. I usually get 3 gallons at a time and it’s gone in 3 months or less. I wouldn’t dump a large quantity of “stale” fuel into anything at one time. Smaller amounts would be fine in your vehicle or lawn tractor.

I date my fuel - mark the date purchased on a tag on the can.

After 30 days, It gets poured into the gas tank in the car. 1/2 gallon of 50:1 mixed with another 9.5 gallons of gas works out to 1,000:1. I don't think the car notices.

If the fuel is several years old (say, discovered in an old saw at a garage sale), or if you have a lot, you can take it to a household hazardous waste site.

Yeah, I hear you there. I'm kind erratic in my use. I had about 5 gallons of no-E mix this summer, but broke my foot so no OPE for me. Now its 3-5 months old and I still have almost 4 gallons left.

I had a two liter coke bottle almost full once (clean gas that was just a little stale), I poured it in my car gas tank (2013 model) when it was almost full. It never missed a lic and that was 50,000 miles ago.
