OK, I have cut some tough Chestnut Oak, just never knew it was also called Rock Oak, but it is (IMO) the toughest Oak to cut. It is in the White Oak family, and the leaves have very small lobes.

Learn something every day!

I cut down this "double" Chestnut Oak, then stumped it with my 066:

Dave what size(s) will fit that stand the best. going to look at some today. i figured 8x8's would be about standard but there might be 10 x 10's available. length??
it was engineered to except 8 x 8 10 by tens and 12 x 12
Any life is fine because we can cut it and use it
And it prefers nice soft wood :D

After seeing that wood pile, I should bring my milling equipment!

I was going to ask earlier, but didn't and this post reminded me. Will there be any milling at this GTG? A demonstration perhaps.... it seems more and more people are interested in milling, I know I am. Debating whether or not to order the 36" mill from HL supply.

Sunday and Monday I will be busy and at work then kiddie soccer. Sorry. I appreciate the offer! I should be able to get it done. We're going to set all the cutting up around the lower loop to keep clean up to a minimum. I think it will work out well. I'm getting the tires/wheels back for the 35 deluxe so dad will likely put them on. We got beet juice in them . Lol
That was a first for me, but Dwight shrute would be pleased. ;)
I've been too busy to keep up with the updates. I appreciate you working on that Jason. Don't hesitate to let me know what you guys think we're missing. Does anyone have a roll of tickets? I could try to find something to raffle off for fun? Maybe a truckload of cookies. ;). Lol.

I think we could use veggies yet. And chips. And ???
