I'd be more than happy to split it with Jacob. Do you know if it's
a full roll or how many feet there is.

I've seen some original Cox brand chain, 9/16" pitch, and it had the word "Cox" stamped into each cutter. That's probably a later variant.

I'd be interested in some of that, as I have some roller nose bars that are .058". Maybe Lee and I could split it.

What do you have in big Homie/Remington in .058” hard nose?

Looking for something longer than 24” for this:

Sorry, I missed your post.

I will try and get an estimate for how many feet there is on the roll.

Well actually a sprocket nose bar for 7/16” x .058” gauge but, the next one I see will be a first.[emoji15]

So.......

I am not sure how much is on the roll....

It has three rows wrapped around the spool, with 30 lines wrapped on the first two inner rows, and 22 lines wrapped on the outside row. I tried to calculate it but came up with more than 100 ft..... so I believe something is wrong.... :crazylick:

This belden wire spool this is wrapped on only has an center diameter of around 2 inches.

The O.D. of the outer row is 6.5 inches.

Can you unroll it along a fixed distance, say an 8 foot long work bench. Then have it dump into a 5gal pale so it doesn’t get dirty. Each time you pull a length off, you can add 8ft to a tally. Then rolll it up.

Ok, I know it has been a looooong time, but I finally got to measure the chain and inspect it all. There is only a few small specs of surface rust on a few of the links, and all the links are free moving and look great.

We measured it and found that there is right at 80 feet +/- 1 ft. of chain on the roll.

I really need to get this sold and moved on to someone who could use it. I didn't find any pre-sets or straps, so you will have to find them elsewhere.

I have sent a PM to both Lee H and Jacob J to see if they are still interested; both said they would split the roll ,if so, they still have first dibs.

I have shipped half the chain to Lee H and the other half is still for sale.

I would like to get $120 shipped to Con. USA for the last 40ft.

Check with Oregon they may have interest for historic value, semi chisel isn't very sought after for larger vintage stuff, those saws are mostly gtg or man cave machines these days
Looking at the picture it appears to be chipper as opposed to semi chisel .Fully rounded side plate .FWIW I have a hard nose 48" bar that is in essence new old stock . .058 slot .Mike Acres thought it might have been a set up for a gear drive .I didn't even know at the time that 1/2" chain was even made in .058 .
If I ever get the notion to hang that bar on a gear drive I'll just change the drive spur to .404 which I have several for McCulloch .I doubt seriously if I ever wear that bar out .I've only used it about 4 times in the 10-12 years I've owned it .
