Hello all, I measured from center of rivet head to center of the other rivet head and I believe I came up with .5130, so 5/8 chain, correct?

It is currently wrapped in three levels on an old metal belden wire roller, I am sure the cardboard spool collapsed under the weight. It is dusty and only has very minor surface rust but the links move easily and freely and the cutters are sharp and not rusted.

The cutters are chromed. It is .058 gauge.

Any help with identification of brand and such and selling this would be much appreciated. This came from an older lady and I would like to give the money to her for it.

JacobJ may know...... Is that an old MAC symbol/emblem on the side of the cutter? Not many of us were walking into saw shops when that stuff was being sold.

Somewhere between 7/16” and 9/16” pitch but not 1/2”.
[emoji848]

I’m up for 7/16” x .058” and 9/16” x .077”.

I don't know what that chain is but the pitch is defined as half the distance between the drivers. Here is how to measure it:

Thanks for all the help and responses!!

I get more than an inch.... like 1.0500 total/2 =

.5025

Would that be 1/2 inch chain by my measurement?

Also, the driver number is 158

Can you measure the gauge?

Seems like half inch pitch to me.

Check with Oregon they may have interest for historic value, semi chisel isn't very sought after for larger vintage stuff, those saws are mostly gtg or man cave machines these days

Hello Lee,

Whatever is a good deal for the buyer, as I don't know the value.

I've seen some original Cox brand chain, 9/16" pitch, and it had the word "Cox" stamped into each cutter. That's probably a later variant.

I'd be interested in some of that, as I have some roller nose bars that are .058". Maybe Lee and I could split it.
