I got a local firefighter coming over tomorrow to help me fire up the mastermind 044 and the Dr Al 044 and maybe fire up the M/MM 026 and Scarr 044 both of which have less than a tank of fuel through them :)
I'll make time for the 064 when she gets back but there aint no big rush, I'll probably just look at it and try to track down any new parts I didn't include when I sent it to ya.
I gotta get somebody in here to insulate my garage and carpet the shelves and.......

I still sell a few things on eBay from time to time but was ticked that a guy ruined my perfect feedback score because he apparently didn't read my description or look at the pictures. He claimed the item was not as described. It was exactly as described as damaged and I had very detailed photos showing the damage. So when he got it and it was damaged... I made him send it back. I wasn't going to refund him and let him keep the item too. He left me negative feedback stating the item should never have been sold. (even though he got all his money back including shipping both ways, JERK!)

I think one issue with eBay now is that people use their phones to look at pics and a 2" picture isn't going to show the detail that a 15" computer screen will.

I had a guy send me 6 long messages with questions I answered on Ebay only to finally order a $7 carb rebuild kit.
Countless times have had guys ask me to mail a package somewhere other than where the mailing label says it should go.
Had a guy mark a Meteor cylinder kit return to sender and it was light as a feather when it got back it had a latin boy band cd case inside with no cylinder kit, he expected a refund, claiming he never opened it.
This week a guy e-mailed to say his 026 carburetor wouldn't work, come to find out it wouldn't work because he had been sold an 025 with an 026 plastic top cover badge.
A few months back a guy called me every name in the book for selling him the wrong coil for his 025, turns out he had a MS200T without a recoil badge he got for $5 at a yard sale and the guy told him it was an 025 and needed a coil, and of course I talked him through installing the 025 coil on the MS200T and told him it was a $400 saw instead of a $50 saw, he almost apologized.
Guys have begged me to send truckloads and boatloads of parts and OPE to Israel and somewhere in South America, they stop trying to scam me when I send them the link to their local regional Stihl dealer.

I got one of those West African scam letters, you know, the ones where they want to give you 23.8 million dollars because they obtained it illegally and feel guilty about it and we're a non-profit organization.
Well, I got one from Accra, Ghana and it just so happened I already had tickets to go there enroute to someplace else. I told the person that I would just meet them at the airport and they could give me the cash there. Seems I never heard back...

... I think one issue with eBay now is that people use their phones to look at pics and a 2" picture isn't going to show the detail that a 15" computer screen will...
I often look at ads on my 7" tablet PC, if I find something I like zooming in doesn't quite do the job.
I then fire up my old faithful desktop PC sporting a 23.6" FullHD LCD screen which makes all the difference as long as the picture of the ad is high quality.

I like buying on eBay as I have yet to get scammed, also I actually can read and understand ad descriptions.
On top of that I am not out to scam a seller!
I had a couple situations where a full or partial refund was in order, I got them all and left a positive feedback noting that I got refunded.

Honestly, I can't imagine selling on eBay!
I've had used stuff up for sale on Croatia's local selling site.
Some of the questions/inquiry's I got made me question how the potential buyers manage to survive past a day in real life.

Buyer: Do the tires You are selling fit my car?
Me: What tire size does Your car use?
Buyer: It is a (insert car brand and model).
Me: That doesn't help. Either read out the stated tire size out of Your cars papers or go to Your vehicle and look at the writing on the side wall of the tires.
(Some forth and back till the guy finally took his cars papers and read out the stated tire size - something something 14").
Me: Sir, the tires I am selling are too large for Your vehicle (they were 15"), they don't fit Your cars rims!
Buyer: Can the tires be made to fit anyways?
- I was like half an hour on the phone with this guy, he didn't understand why my tires don't fit his car/rims.

Another guy wanted to trade something of his for some steel rims I was selling. He put a value on his property 4-5 times higher than what I was asking for my stuff and insisted it sells for that value in an blink of an eye once listed. I kindly told him I have no use for his property and don't want to resell it either, he should sell it himself buy my rims and have money left over in his pocket - I even lowered my asking price like 25-30% and told him that's his saving for fuel to pick the rims up himself. When he realized I wasn't going for a trade he said I can keep my cheap crappy rims (OEM GM/Opel, very good condition) and that I am a moron for not wanting to make some money. :confundio1:

Currently all my ads have long since expired and I haven't felt like renewing them because of the impossible questions and inquiry's.
But stuff is piling up slowly, so I will have to list it at some point as the alternative would be disposing it on the junk yard which would be a shame for most stuff as it is usable/functional.

since this got bumped back to the top....here is my latest.

Had a guy from tennessee order a switch for stihl trimmer off my website, 3 weeks later I am notified that the customer had contacted his credit card company and claimed it was a fraudulent order and that they had initiated a chargeback....$12 sale with shipping included was now a $27 chargeback. I go and start investigating and the guy was actually a small engine shop and everything matched...name, shipping address, billing address, email, phone number. double checked to make sure the package arrived and sure enough...i shipped it the same day the order was received and it was delivered to the address listed the next day. I disputed the chargeback, still waiting to hear what the credit card company has to say when they do their little investigation and find out every bit of information provided matched including the phone number and email he provided. somehow i think i am still gonna get *f-worded on it tho

$12.... why bother??? If the part was broken I may not even bother to complain... never mind have the credit card company charge back.
Is there a phone number to call that business Nate?
