The little MilwaukeeView attachment 61175 driver on the right side of the bench is the most used tool in my shop.
thats the most used in our shop too except i have gotten tired of them burning up twice a year so we jsut made the switch to Makita....figured why not give em a try since they came out with sub-compact 18V impacts that are very similar in size and weight.

Wow that's cool! My dewalt 1/4" hex impact is on its last battery. After that battery craps out its getting replace with a corded makita. I don't use it everyday for work anymore so I can't justify putting money in batteries every couple of year. I think the model is 6952. Have you ever sold any? Thanks

I've only sold a couple makita tools and nobody sells makita locally so i cant even comment in general fashion about their quality but before i would buy that i would take a hard look at these subcompacts, so far we are really liking them and the drill/impact/2 batteries arent much more than what that corded impact costs. https://www.makitatools.com/lxtsubcompact

Back on the subject, i have no personal experience with the FUEL tools but my cousin has about every tool they make for them and the Cornwell guy sells them. My cousin loves the brushless stuff and is slowly buying brushless to replace the brushed stuff he has even though there is nothing wrong with the brushed tools, he has burnt up a couple of the 1/2" impacts in the last year though, that should give a clue as to the increased productivity and quality of them. The Cornwell tool guy loves the milwaukee stuff and cant talk enough good about it but he does have a fair amount of them on the truck that he is replacing/repairing under warranty, that may mean something or it may not, if he is selling 10k a month in milwaukee tools then the ones i see on the truck for repair is a drop in the bucket and meaningless but if he is only selling a handful that is a different story. My guess is he is selling a fair amount and the repair rate is fairly low or he would have switched to Makita as that is what he can buy directly thru Cornwell instead of going outside his normal distribution channels to get the milwaukee tools.

The Milwaukee 12V stuff isnt bad for what it is when you compare to the cheaper tools i was used to using but going thru a couple impacts a year just got old/expensive for me and I took the chance to switch it up and try the makita stuff......of course it also looks a little funny when we are Makita dealers and using Milwaukee tools in the shop so its also an optics thing for us. Time will tell on these subcompacts on how they hold up to daily use tearing saws apart and working on mowers.

My m12 fuel hackzall showed up today and it's a lot larger and seems much more stout that the standard m12 hackzall I got for my wife. The body seems to be in size between the standard m12 and my m18 saws. I will be running the crap out of it and will be sure to report back.

If you watch the sales here the local farm store will give you a extra 5.0 battery with a tool. One of my sons was working on some equipment in the lower yard a few days ago and found a new 5.0 I had forgot about

Recently picked up an m18 grinder ,am using it a lot more than i thought i would ,very handy with a cutoff wheel for cutting stuff ,i put a wire wheel on it when had to clean gasket material off a head where had no power ,it did use one battery to clean the head ,and one for the block ,but the gasket was all fell apart and stuck all over on a backhoe diesel engine .Had to fix it in the woods where it broke ,so cordless impacts and the grinder saved a lot of work .I highly recommend getting one of these .

I just added a Fuel M18 hammer Drill/Driver to my 1/4 Impact Driver. I'm very happy. My 10+ yr. old 14v Milwaukee drill will be going out to pasture now. It has definitely earned it's keep over the years. It deserves a Viking burial with burning boat, etc.gameofthronesfannnn.gif
