If you could recess a couple lights into the wall knee height you'd be surprised. Did that in some paint booths.

Used some stuff I had laying around to make a work bench.
Cut down a jobsite work table to fit.

Left side is supported by the 1" steel plate I used to stiffen the lathe.

Had some galvanized sheet

Didn't have a brake handy so I bent it with a straight edge, brute force and a hammer.

I figure this will make it easy to clean and be pretty resilient.

You may never notice a difference, but having the bench bearing on the lathe could alter your cuts depending on how much weight is on the bench.

I was thinking it would take a hell of a lot of pressure to tweak that steel plate.
I can add a brace to keep the weight off just to be sure though.

It takes a lot less than you'd think. Again, you may never notice it in actual use.

I agree.
When I align a pump, could be 100 HP on a grouted steel frame, if I lean on the motor or kneel on the base, the dial indicator moves.

This is getting complicated... I think I'll just stick with these

There are guys that can do very precise work with chisels and files, I'm not sure that any of them post here.

Nice work Jason ....how much do you charge for "porting" and stealering my perfectly usable clutch ?
The porting and stealering are on the house, it's the $250 shipping that gets you. That way you can't say you didn't get what you paid for, that is if you also paid extra for return shipping.

I'm working on a spread sheet, it will be a varying scale based on number of posts the member has. [emoji849]
