A customer bought a vermeer sc252 and drought it to me, said it had no power. I went out to move it in to my shop and i fire it up and walk around to the other side and it shooting oil and about a 2-3 inch flame out the side of the head. Apparently it blew a head gasket and no one fixed it. some people don't know what maintenance means.

Wow, that a deep gouge. They had to run it a long time with a blown head gasket.

That head can be welded and resurfaced by any reputable automotive machine shop if new ones are too expensive.
