I take golf balls, drill a hole in them, run a piece of weed eater string through the hole and hang from my target stands.
It amazes me, the golf balls are hard to hit but I have an uncanny ability to hit the damn string.
Great idea. They're getting harder to find with the alfalfa coming up. :)

Guy wanting to trade on a saw. 2005-2013 ( I looked it up to know it was newer with 15rd and rail) ruger p 95 with 1 mag. Says been shot 200rds. Just sets.

Seem to be around $300 when new? What do you think a fair trade in value would be?
Also 100rds of ammo not that I will count that for much.

If you're going used retail I'd say 250 with the ammo. If he wants more he can sell it, but he'd likely get 200 with the shells if he's lucky.

I picked this up yesterday, on the cheap, from a guy who bought it new, said he never shot it and decided it was too heavy. I was afraid there was something wrong with it but I checked the cylinder throats and bore diameter and everything looks perfect. The Trigger is good and the grips fit better than most.
It's chambered in .44spec, which is quickly becoming my favorite cartridge.

You're welcome.
Steve
Lol. Thank you too... Yours are yet to be finished;) it takes me a lot longer to do 44 mags because my press doesn't meter h110 very well so I have to use the single stage. I just got the powder funnel and plate for the Dillon so things should speed up. :)

Those are all 38s from Ross. Cast 158g boolits with 4.5g unique. My fav. plinkers.

That's beautiful! I just oggled the same gun with a black set of grips a few weeks ago. Very nice!

If you're loading on a Dillon, 200 cases aren't going to keep you busy for long.

I've got a set of Black Micarta grips for it. I really like black grips on a stainless gun.
A couple of years ago I almost didn't buy a stainless flat top because of the white grips. White grips on a Stainless gun is butt ugly.

I agree! I like to make grips and holsters.. holsters are way easier.

I got a chance to shoot this today.
With a 250gr SWC and 7.5gr of Unique, it was easy to consistently smack six inch diameter steel plates at 18yds. A 12" plate at 40yds was equally easy to hit.
The load I was shooting is not consideded light but with the Bisley grip frame, recoil was almost negligible.
This one is a keeper......

I had one years ago that I bought used for $300 or so in 9mm, stainless, metal frame. It was soft and fun to shoot, but I could barely keep the rounds on a dinner plate at 10yds. A friend had the exact same gun in Blue but I could ring steel at 50yds w/it. I think that was when Ruger was experiencing some serious QC issues and were hit and miss. Dad had a old model 5.5" Vaquero in .45 Colt. The grip never did fit either of us and it was a lousy shooter. It even made a trip back to Ruger to no avail. The Cylinder mouths varied a bit and were all tighter than the forcing cone. They somewhat fixed that but it still was lousy so it went down the road. As a comparison, I had a old model Vaquero Bisly in 5.5" and a standard Vaquero in 4-5/8" both in .45 COlt and they both shot VERY well. Traded one and sold the other with the intent of buying a Blackhawk Bisley. That still hasn't happened, but I will either still get the Blackhawk Bisley, a small frame BFR or a SRH in either .45 Colt or .454.

Now, I see that RUger is building a SRH in .41 mag again... That might be awful tempting.

The trade fell through anyways. He wants to trade and dont have cash. But he ran it past the wife first.
It was a gift to him from her brother at one time. Nuff said. ;)
