I am just curious what the going rate is for a simple tree removal. Also the rate for cord wood, both green and seasoned. I know I work for peanuts, but I am just trying to see where I am at as compared to others in the industry.
Let me state that I work alone. One man operation. I do not grind stumps. Just do simple tree removals.
Issue I have is that I have so much wood that I need to start selling it to make room for all the jobs that I have lined up. Can't store another piece of wood.

Thanks in advance for any help offered.

I have charged 150 to 300 for simple tree demoval.
For the firewood i charge $60 a face cord weather they want it seasoned or green. Its the same amount of work. And if i deliver i charge 10 buck and up depending on distance.

Are you referring to wood for milling?

Never really thought about that. Let me think about it and check into it.
I would need some equipment for that. Lol

Maybe...maybe not? If you can walk in the one end you could do it all by hand. A machine would make it much easier and probably could also help you with your firewood business.

I live on a busy road and a neighbor does same thing as you he has two boxes at the road $30 each thrown in on bottom stacked on top sell the crap out of it for camp/pit wood compared to bundle prices ? If he's busy he don't load boxes ?

If your not In a busy area/road find an area/house that would let you/them sell for you cheaper then anyone else (your already getting paid to remove) split the difference and you both make out ?

I cut some black walnut a while ago. I have a few pieces drying in my garage. I kept them for making knife or gun handles. ;)

The tree removal jobs vary alot. Depending on the condition of there yard, surrounding structures, power lines and condition of the tree I try to big my side cash jobs like that as no haul, guesstimated time at 100 and hour for climbing, fuel oil, wear n tear. But I don't have much equipment just climbing and rigging gear saws, chains. Low overhead cost for me. My equipment has paid itself off quick

I do not climb, as I would be afraid that I would knock the tree over while I am in it. I weigh 275lbs. LOL
I am only a ground cutter. Just a hack. But I have cut from a ladder before. Not really very safe.
I do simple tree removals.
