Thanks guys!

I'm still waiting on some taps, and then I gotta get a machine shop to drill and tap 160 holes for me. 4 sets of twenty threaded rods. I just cant do that much. i'm doing an initial run of 20 sets overall and will see how that goes. My aluminum sleeves I'm machining myself. Takes time though, please be patient!

ugh, an oversight. ....UGH.....

so, Kyler M just pointed out that the stihl 360 has a very small flywheel side seal pocket. its tiny. so its not possible to have a single sleeve to work on this particular model and all the other stihl and husky saws. i'll work on it and keep everyone up to date.

the tool as is should work fine on 346xp, 359, 372, 394/5, 3120, 262xp, 288.... stihl 660 880. it certainly will be adaptable to others without much trouble.

LOTR ... hehe... I couldn't help myself :) ... although at this point the fact that it probably can't fully do the 360's kinda sucks... gonna work on that...

Fred, sending you a PM

....UGH..... so its not possible to have a single sleeve to work on this particular model and all the other stihl and husky saws. . . . it certainly will be adaptable to others without much trouble.

Just make a separate and smaller sleeve for the 026 and 034?

Why not keep the outer sleeve basically the same, and make a few different end pieces / adaptors for it, to fit a variety of saws? These would be relatively small pieces, and allow you (or the end user) to make special adaptors for new, or less common saws.

@Mattyo
Would a flat washer between the end of the aluminum and nut stop the worry of galling the aluminum up possibly?
Also, as if you're not frazzled enough. Lol Could a bigger end be made up to push on the cases, as in like when you needed to pull the bearing in a little more on the 372. It then could be flipped around to the other side of the case half to push the bearing in the cases to begin with.
Sorry for the derail it's just that I can see so much more possibility's for this tool. Carry on. :)
