I am posting about these kits in general. I and others have found these kits to be a ton of fun. I know that many will turn your nose up and that's fine, just move on. I am writing for the audience that likes a puzzle and enjoys problem solving and is capable of manufacturing a chainsaw. These qualify for you to build them on the good table inside where its climate controlled because its new and clean, until you get her to a certain point and then its an outside thing and turns into a real chainsaw.

I was an early adopter and firm supporter of these kits and a stroke of the pen put me in touch with the main guy @ farmertec. We write each other and he is very interested in giving america great chainsaw parts. I told him the outside of his jugs (they actually make) were first class but when you got inside they were dangerous to a mans rings. He said he would look into it and reports are coming in that they have really improved. I am very impressed with their commitment to improvement and everyone that sells farmertec will benefit. I am not crazy about them but am about these kits and that means the parts have a great chance of being very worthwhile, useful and priced to where your baby can drink the good milk. And only huztl offers the kits of farmertec parts @ www.huztl.net. a ms200t, ms250 fs540 are coming real soon.

You can always add a different jug, piston whatever. You can tweak it until you just get tired. I made another whats in the box video if your interested in seeing the actual parts before buy.
One warning they don't work on vacation and when they announce a festival they are at home with their families so adjust your purchase schedules to account for that. shipping takes around 10 days if customs on either side does not want to take a peak.

I'm interested in these, but would probably do the H365 kit. Has anyone here built a complete 365?

Bedfordt- have you had any issues buying off their site, and did you use Paypal?

I guess you are asking just to be sure. But my thread should be a clue I am happy.

I or my friends or people posting in the build threads have had zero issues in actually getting our orders.

We have had issues that I have been working to iron out. Being ripped off is not one of them. And that happens when you go on AliBaba with those shady wire transfers. PayPal will not pay them till it shipped and will show a tracking number in your PayPal account when it does. And if they fooled around PayPal will hold up the rest of their payments until they iron out the issue. They live and breath paypal

We had trouble when a bunch of us bought during s festival and did not know what that meant. They are interested in our business. I talk problems out with them for us all. Can't do that with many companies

We had trouble with packing and they are going to fix that. It's a long ride. We had trouble with them answering us. We fixed that. We had trouble understanding that when they are on vacation they are Actually not at work and don't ship or answer emails so we fixed that. Now on their website they announce festivals so you know when to order and when to expect a reply. They want our business and are working to earn it. I am impressed

I will open a thread if no one else does it first over here. There are two threads already over there. The one fella was more interested in porting his saw. i think he did it before he fired it up and the other thread quit rather than combine force and talk about the shared goal of the build. no telling what will happen once more people get them. huztl introduced the saw and went on vacation.

What i found and its reflected in the more detailed MS660 thread is there are problem solvers and guys who just run down to the stihl store and buy the troubling part. i fall in the former and enjoy the troubling parts asking questions getting solutions.

( statements removed )

so building the kit i fully expect issues but you wind up with a real saw that will cut wood just like your real stihl saws. and man is it fun to go through the journey and there will be drama.

on the 440 right off the bat, the brake spring was wrong. the guy in charge of filling those boxes put the wrong one in and substituted the lever they had in stock. they will fix that when they get back. they looked the same to him. they also got a bad batch of 5mx20 screws that did not have the binding head serrations under the head which is real bad (they dont know this yet), means you must have loctitie on top of the loctite that is already micro-encapsulated on the binding head screws. i wrote my man and told him but it was hours after they left. They made tremendous improvement on the castings, my jug was smooth as a babies behind so a novice putting his rings in will not have issues. so the improvements are actual.

i am going to wait until they get back before i start the build. i want to order a few things. i ordered it right away and when i got it they were gone. but thats ok. they come with the seals installed and i want an extra set so i can remove them and place new ones after i place the crank. they make a nice wrap handle i want. they just started selling elasto-start clones there is a handful of items I want to order and maybe others will have a kit by then and we can start a build thread here. but i will write all about it to help the lurkers that might never had ever touched one.

i show each actual part in the video so you can see. its clear enough

you realize i was talking to stackowood since he asked the question. so you must be feeling just a little bit of pressure to join in. but heck you probably got clothes to fold and floors to wash and probably got a few youngens that need tending, maybe even some milk cows. been there done that. you can still read about it. if we are having a lot of fun i will @Czed. the new hollaring and let you know we did something special that day, be sure and check it out.

but really no pressure, no explanation needed. some folks are just buyers at heart, sure enough. have fun opening the box and fueling it up. good times can still be had.
