What's the cargo container looking box on top Used for?

Looks like on this job it was a replacement?

Great looking work! Was it built on site?
The container lookin thing was a climate controlled electrical room. This crane was fabricated in Texas and hauled to Minnesota where I put it together and installed

Just finished off these pair of building at the end of July the project started last year there was a lot of subsidence going on , rotten timber, wet cob walls on top of lime stone walling all of which had too be covered with plywood to allow natural drying
On the 1st barn two buttresses where built too safe the back wall coming out some of the a frame and hips where saved timbers where Replaced with Green oak And most of the tie beams where oak the rafters where 4x3 Douglas and purlins where 2x2 with close spacing too hold the thatching reed the ridge is wheat straw

Once the roof was finished , all plastering and pointing of stonework completed with lime mortar to allow the stonework to breath

Next instalment soon

They both are early 18th century Apparently historians can date these buildings by width of the building and pitch of the roof and the way the trees where cut on the original timbers

There is an oak forest below this farm running along a steep valley down to a river and it is documented that a past owner was a government person and he had the woodland and sold the best oaks to the devonport naval base
Which I presume kept the timber ships going
