Oh the cylinder will be ported to flow you can bet on that! Yes indeed vp makes so many different fuels now I can’t keep up!

Once it’s ported and compression upped if I land at 180 then that’s a different story

No nobody can answer on the optimal squish and combustion chamber size for oxygenated fuel. Some of your vp fuels may run 4 to 1 air to fuel. You can’t compress fluid. There’s a reason why top fuel dragsters are all hemi combustion chamber engines

Ok so I’ve followed the normal squish guidelines on outboards running alcohol and still bent rods. Guess it just comes with the territory

There is no optimal squish or chamber size. You do what it take to make compression. Too many variable with different elevations. I run looser squish than most.

There is no fuel that just makes a saw fast. All the work has to come together. Stock saw and race fuel can be out powered by a ported saw.

I would suggest eliminate all you can with gas, get the most you can. Then move to an alternative fuel. Maybe e85 next.

That’s good advice. I appreciate all who had words of wisdom here. Lots of good folks on this forum!

@Deets066 love your profile pic. Reminds me of mr Anderson hiring bevis and butthead to prune trees and they start cutting down powerlines. Hahha

These small cylinders with stock squish band widths get no where near the squish velocity that it takes to start having problems. Make it as tight as you feel comfortable with.

How about oxygenated race gas with nitro propane and a little koolinol?

or are there serious gains with e85?
