Got an Ms200t in the shop this week, owner said it ran but bogged when revved, but you can ease it up to WOT.

Did a compression test, pulled 165 cold. Gradually opened it up to WOT running and got 17k rpm!!

Okay fine, air leak me thinks. Replaced the old Bakelite crank seals as pto side was leaking, fitted newer style seals. Passed a pressure and vacuum test with flying colours.

Put it back together, still bogs under load. Fine, accelerator pump problem. Removed the carb, pulled the throttle shaft and yes accelerator pump has worn the carb body out.

I bypassed the pump by removing the spring and the o ring from the piston and JB welding it in place.

The saw runs okay albeit it revs up a little slower (which is expected) however it's now tacking 15k tuned as rich as it will go. Should I remove the limiter on the high speed screw and tune it down to 14k as per specs?
